No, the adrift part comes from the fact that these stories are ones editor Kristine Kathryn Rusch fell in love with but which had no home in a volume from our first year. So, she created this volume, with my blessing, to bring them all together with fantastic results. They are all fantasy, but they ebb and flow through the genre: We have historical fantasies, urban fantasies, fairy tale and mythology fantasies, and more. The mood shifts throughout, as well, from humorous to horrific and from romantic to bleak.Here’s the synopsis:
